I am so happy to be writing again! I do apologize for my absence.... My laptop was destroyed :(...I was so upset, but was gifted a tablet about 2 months after, that has since been destroyed. The moral of this story for me is small people between the ages of 4 and 6 should not handle expensive electronics. Such is life. Thus this is the reason for my extended absence.
In this post I"m asking for your feedback. We all know a de-stress routine is needed, we all know that connecting to our core self, our souls is a must. How do we do it? How do you want it to be done? What are you willing to sacrifice for your own well being? I will listen intently and apply appropriate suggestions to my up and coming Goddess Empowerment Workshop Part 2. Stay tuned.
Back To Nature Challenge!!!
In other news, I have begun a new challenge, that I would like many people to participate in. It is called the "Back to Nature Challenge"......
For the past few months I have been challenged by nature to 'Come Back'. I see trees that need to be climbed, roads that need trodding, bodies of water that need me in them, I see grass that needs my bare feet in it. For some reason I find a reason to turn around and go inside, sit on the couch and wish I was were I was being called. Hopefully that makes sense.
It is unfortunate that we have become so conditioned to being hidden inside that when we do pop our heads out to go wherever we are going, we have to squint our eyes and climatize ourselves. We feel that natural nature is unnatural, we forget where we come from; not only the belly of our physical mother's but the belly of Mother Nature. We are conditioned to believe the recycled air blasting out of our air conditioners' is fresh enough.
Imagine how the world would change if we got outside, not just for work, or to go from here or there, but just to enjoy God's splendor.
~ I Envision ~
I envision that the amount of litter on the ground would be less (we couldn't allow that can to destroy our view any longer, we'd have to move it).
I envision that the level of obesity would be greatly reduced (instead of watching commercials about food, sitting on the couch immobile, we would be up walking and exposing our minds and imaginations to our surroundings).
I envision that the level of crime would be lower (instead of becoming desensitized to violence via the violent movies, shows, and games we ingest on a daily basis, our true / natural peaceful nature would resonate therefore there would be less fighting, less, domestic violence and rape)
I envision that ADHD and hyperactivity disorders wouldn't be so prevalent. Families who spent time outside together would be able to give their undivided attention to their family. Void of phones, laptops, televisions and ipads, families would be forced to tune into each other and discover and satisfy the needs of their family members.
Ahhh envisioning....my imagination is running wild, and while there is a plethora of benefits to getting 'Back to Nature', let's not get carried away. Doing one video, posting it and tagging/ challenging others to do ONE is not going to solve the world's problems. It will take a lifestyle change, incorporating this challenge everyday or few times a week into your life and sharing and posting about the affects of this humbling experience. I am challenging myself to do this three times a week. I will make some videos about my initial experiences but eventually I hope to become too engrossed in nature to even want to turn my phone on (he-he). I want to take the taboo out of nature loving :).
Here is my first video, there are more videos to come. If you do find the courage to take on this challenge make sure to tag friends and family that you believe will participate.
